About Mile High Stories
Stories are how we connect with
each other on the most fundamental human level. They’re how
we share knowledge, memories and let people know who we are, where
we’ve been, where we’re going, and most importantly,
what we care about.
Mile High Stories gathers digital
stories from members of the community and then shares them on the
Internet, creating a rich portrait of the lives, memories and voices
of Denverites, a narrative quilt available to the community and the
world beyond. A piece of public art. A place to make new connections
and nurture them. Soon more of these stories will be available on
this website.
What’s a digital story? Digital
stories, generally, are two- to three-minute movies about an important
event in the storyteller’s life. Media-rich stories that can
be shared through the Internet, on CD ROMs, DVDs or broadcast television
to create communities of concern and make new connections.
